The medieval city of Allegre, France, will host the World HPV Championships in August 2006.
A 3-day competition is already planned covering 5 races plus a drag contest, followed by a 4-day cycling tour of Haute-Loire.

Prologue : individual timetrial of 12 km between the villages of Allegre and Saint-Paulien
-Saturday the 5th of August in the afternoon-
Hillclimb : individual timetrial of 15% grade in the village of Allegre
-Sunday the 6th of August in the morning-
Road criterium : undulating circuit of 4 x 18 km
-Sunday the 6th of August in the afternoon-
200 m sprint on Le Puy regional airport
-Monday the 7th of August in the morning-
1000 m sprint on Le Puy regional airport

The Altiligerienne, a new cycling tour of 238 km : on Friday the 11th of August, we will propose to the long-suffering riders a real Tour of Haute-Loire through the various landscapes of the Plateau de la Chaise-Dieu, the Brivadois, the Gorges de l'Allier, the Gorges de la Loire, the Plateau du Mezenc, the Massif du Meygal, the Gorges de l'Arzon.

each circuit includes the visit of a historical monument, a craftman's workshop, reaching a summit or the degustation of french gastronomy
